纽西兰黑加仑营养价值高,并含有丰富的维生素A、维生素C和钾、花青素、有机酸、生物类黄酮和总酚。它们还含有适量的维生素B1(硫胺素)和维生素B3(烟酸)及钙。
对比研究显示纽西兰黑加仑含有的花青素和酚类物质比欧洲山桑子多许多,而且含有量是北美蓝莓的两倍。此外,纽西兰黑加仑的维生素C水平是所有水果当中最高的。
